Verify National Certification

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program currently charges a nominal fee of $30 for each request for verification of national certification.

An Emergency Verification is available online for $45.

Mail-In Requests

The request should be on your company letterhead with mailing address and proper phone number to reach the requester, clearly stating the name of the nurse practitioner, alternate/maiden names they could be certified under and a social security number. A release signed by the nurse practitioner must also be included. Please provide a return mailing address or return envelope, as all correspondence will be mailed to you. Please allow approximately 14 to 21 business days to receive a response to your request.

The fee may be paid by check if mailed with the verification request and signed release from the NP. Or you can fax the verification request and signed release from the NP and put the credit card information (MasterCard, VISA or American Express) on the verification request we need the number of card and expiration date.
